Depending on your needs, we have the ability to work on new product projects from concept to launch – something few food consultants like to do. We can provide progress assessments, insights, and expertise in each stage of development.  If expertise is needed to resolve an issue or improve a process step, our team of expert partners can assist. Because you only pay for an expert's time when they work on your project, we can provide experts without the high overhead costs of a large consultancy.

We usually start with idea identification. We use a design thinking approach to identify, flesh out, and prioritize new ideas and business opportunities.

Once high priority new business ideas are identified, we work with clients to develop initial prototypes and concepts for customer/consumer feedback to determine desirability. We use rapid prototyping and iteration to fine-tune concepts and prototyping for customer feedback. We can conduct concept research for you to prioritize which concepts proceed to design and development and which should fail early, limiting time and investment in weaker ideas. 

This input helps us work with you to develop a business case to determine internal feasibility and market viability. This business case provides the information needed to achieve internal approval to proceed to development.

Once you have a project approved and starting development, we can assist you in the design and development stage to take the concept from an idea and a prototype to production, including product research. As each step approaching and following launch requires additional financial and time investment, our goal is to fail fast if something is not working and to iterate as needed when there is a high potential path forward based on the iteration. We work with you to ensure that your product can be produced cost-effectively, and the desirability of the concept is maintained as the product moves through development toward commercialization.

Once your product can be produced internally, or through a co-packer, we can assist you in the assessment and testing stage to determine if the product is worthy of taking to market. 

If your product passes the testing stage, we can work with you through internal commercialization steps to prepare your production team for launch.

Once your new product or service is ready to go to market, we assist you in defining your launch strategy and rollout execution road map, so no critical action step is missed. If it is helpful, we can help you develop launch support for selling tools, retail merchandising, or marketing. 

If you have an existing marketing agency, we can work with them or not at all. Our goal is never to disrupt or replace a current agency partner. We provide insights and assistance where needed and requested. If there is not an existing agency, we can provide support where needed. 

Once your product has launched, we can work with you to measure and adjust your market strategy to help optimize your success in the market.
